Growing up with Scotties taught me that there is only ONE breed for me. My first two Scotties were wonderful companions and I still have pictures around the house of them both.

In 1986, I decided to move to Annapolis, MD to be closer to my sailboat. One of the first people I met in my new neighborhood was a breeder and exhibitor of Borzois. She invited me to a dog show and I was hooked. I decided my next Scottie would be a show dog. That was the beginning of a true dedication to the breed that still on-going and more devoted with every passing year.

When I bought my first well-bred Scots and started to breed, I needed a kennel name. I chose Roscot, naming it after my mother, Rose. Her love of the breed is the reason I grew up with Scotties.

As my breeding program began, I became very concerned with
health and genetic issues as well as nutrition in terms of producing
long-lived and  beautiful Scots. You will find links in my
website that offer valuable information on these topics.
